Fall Update
Mood:  chillin'

I haven't gotten much further on The Obsession but I have been writing down ideas on how I will expand on it.  Right now I am gearing up for NaNoWriMo next month.  I will be writing a sci fi-horror story which I have given the title: Hope Falls.  I can't wait to get started.

I finally got my own computer!  Yay!  My hubby took the bonus money he got from work and combined it with the money I got from my grandmother and went out and bought me a Compaq Presario.  I was so happy.  Now, I have no more excuse on not writing.  Laughing

Summer Update
Mood:  chillin'
Not much happening since my last entry.  The Obsession has been accepted for a new anthology by Jaded Silence Press, Monsters Within; that should be out later this year.  Piker Press will also run this story, but it will be a revision (expanded version) of what Jaded has, more of a novella.  I am presently working on that and hope to have it finished by the end of summer.  I am working on developing and expanding a few other story ideas that I hope to start working on once I have completed The Obsession.  I would also like to work on the second part, or sequel, to Shadow of Death.  The Obsession will also have a second part.  Once I am finished with both I will move on to the next story of the Mallory's Bush series.  The way I am going these series will probably take me another year or two to complete; but, that's okay.  I am enjoying the process.  Computer update:  No go there at this time.  I am still competing for the sole one we have which will get worse once hubby begins his online Master degree program next month.  My five-year old son likes to also get on the computer so it has been rather difficult to find time to get on.  I did get some money from my grandmother which I plan to put in a CD and add money over time for the next year or so; I hope that once it matures I will have enough to buy my own computer to use solely for writing and research.  We'll see.  That's the scoop for now until Fall.  Laughing

Submitted!
Mood:  chillin'

I have submitted the story this past week.  The title is now The Obsession.  It was submitted to both Piker Press and Jaded Silence Press.  I should hear from them in a month or so.  This story is much shorter than Shadow of Death, but just as much to write.  I hope to write one or two stories for Curse of Mallory's Bush in the next few months.  Plus, I see that Jaded Silence will be accepting Novella/Novels from now until the end of the year so I'm thinking of finishing a novel I began back in November for the NaNoMoWri, I Want Tomorrow.  I've been thinking about that book a lot the past few days...

A few weeks ago Piker Press ran my poem, Life.

That's all for now.

Updates...
Mood:  chillin'

I've made about 3 posts to my Imaginative Muse, and have decided to discontinue with that story, for now.  I'm thinking of posting stories and poems that I have on the Writers Cafe site, and then going from there.

I bought the anthology book, Deliver Us from Evil, which my short story was published in.  It's neat to see my story in a real book.  I believe I have two or three people that will be buying that book as well, to read my story.  Cool

Jaded Silence Press are going to be doing another anthology, this one will be called, Monsters Within.  At this time, I've written a draft for this, it has been tentatively titled: The Ghostly Inhabitor.  I'm not happy with this title, but it's something for now.  This will also be another story to add to my Curse of Mallory' Bush collection.  If I am not able to meet the deadline, I will submit to Piker Press.

That's all for updates at this time.  It's been slow going so far this year, but I hope to pick up the pace in the next month or so.

Something fun
Mood:  caffeinated

I'm doing something different and fun.  I've created another blog (you'll find it off my current Google Blog: AngelEyes' World), The Imaginative Muse; here I will write stories, poems, and etc.  Right now I've started one involving Anna Mae Hart, and the strange occurences going on at Lake Champlain.  Check it out!

I haven't done much writing lately; but, I have went back and organized all my writing projects.  Yeah!

Really...
Well, it's a new year and it's been a few weeks since I've really written anything.  It's been kind of hard with the holidays, parents coming down to visit, and work has been absolutely insane.  They have all drained the energy and motivation from me.  Now, it's time for me to get serious and busy again.  For one, I need to finish reading a friend's book, which I've held on for way too long; secondly, I need to get going on my next story for the Mallory's Bush series if I am to submit by March, and I also need to work more on the two novels I have started.  I am also working on a story idea that could span three books/novellas; I also have another idea that could end up being two separate trilogy series.  Gosh, so many projects with only one computer and not a whole lot of free time.  I almost wish I could stay home one day a week to do nothing but write.  Maybe in a few years.

Update
Mood:  bright
I can hardly believe that we're at the end of another year!  Where did it go? Time flies faster, I've noticed, the older you get.  Probably because we got so much going on with family and work.  Anyhoo, my short story, Shadow of Death, has recently been accepted for an anthology book called, Deliver Us from Evil!  This will be through Jaded Silence Press that I've discovered by way of Writers Cafe.  I can't wait.  Once it's out, I plan on buying it and adding to my growing library.  Now, I really need to start writing my next short story for the Mallory's Bush story collection.  I hope to have a few more of my works published in 2008.  Stay tuned!

Goals for 2008
Mood:  caffeinated

It was neat seeing my story on a cover page for Piker Press this week.   I love the picture they created as well.  Next week they will run part two of the story on the next page.  This makes me want to write more in the Mallory's Bush series and get it submitted asap!  I am hoping to have the next one completed and ready to submit by March of 2008.

I had a fun time participating in the NaNoWriMo last month; it whetted my appetite to do it again next year.  At this point, I have started two novels: I Want Tomorrow and A Second Chance, that I hope to finish by the end of 2008.  I also hope to write several more short stories, epecially for the Mallory's Bush series, that I love to see on the Piker Press, and even have a few in the Jaded Silence Press.  I've also done a few poems, and may do several more next year as well.

Hopefully, by next summer I will have my own computer.

Update
Mood:  happy

Piker Press contacted me yesterday; they will be running my story, Shadow of Death, as a cover story, in their December 10th edition.  This news made my day;the rest of my year in fact!

Next year, some of my goals are to get a few more short stories published on Pker Press; and work on at least 2-4 novels for both Lulu and tradition publishing.  I am hooked!  Also, I hope to be able to get a computer of my own.

Check out my story on www.pikerpress.com December 10th!
